Mommy Mode: On

Before I got married, vacation means going to energy-saving mode. Yeah, I usually spent my leisure time being like a fluffy lazy panda.

I can sleep like 12 hours straight each night, plus couple of naps a day. I even missed my breakfast or lunch and didn’t regret them because sleep is seriously life.

Now, with me being a mom of a 6-month young Baby D, sleep is still mandatory but a 6-hour sleep is already too long for me.

It’s weird, but once my baby is asleep, I feel a strong urge to get up and clean all the mess up.

Now, my temporary high is when I see Baby D’s playroom is clean, smells good, and everything is on its position.

I remember, a week ago, the garbage collector didn’t come to pick up our 3 dirty trash bags in front of our house. It successfully ruined my mood the whole day. Because whenever I looked out the window, all I see is 3 trash bags laying in our garage, and when I came closer I could see some maggots creep out one of the food trash bags. Euugghh..

So, these are reasons why chores is important for moms:

1. Dirty Playroom increase Accidents Probability

Babies like to crawl around, roll over, and put everything into their little tiny mouth. Of course, you don’t want something bad happen to your baby, at least I won’t.

2. Avoid Ant, Rats, Cockroach or Maggots Invasion

You know that when you leave your baby food leftover without cleaning them up, will provoke uninvited guests mentioned to come. Euugghh…

Look at those maggots I was talking about in front of our house. No way!

3. Develop Healthy Routines

Routine is the best beginning to a discipline and contented child. I got this reference from some parenting materials I read and watched, also after saw some of my friends who have successfully discipline their children.

Okay I think these are some points that make me want to do the chores.
