Bless This Mess

I think everything seems and feels fulfilled whenever I see useful results. My heart feels at peace whenever I see my hard works serve their purpose well.

I remember making some short motivational videos about the company’s core values at my previous job. Actually, it wasn’t part of my job description, but since I love making videos in my spare time, my supervisor asked me to help her create some videos.

As an amateur video maker, I got so many critics and advice from my team, such as the position of the people in the videos, the narration, the angle, the subtitle, and so on. Sometimes we had to shoot the scene more than once just to get the expected outcomes. Sometimes we made mistakes such as forgetting to turn the microphone on, so the video was silent. It was so frustrating especially because the deadline was tight. However, I enjoyed the process because I know it would serve an honorable purpose.

Voila! When the video was finished and published, I felt so happy and relieved. Especially, when I heard some feedbacks from the employees, some told us that it touched their heart and the song in the video reminded them of how blessed they feel to work at the company. I just realized how actually the smallest things could change people’s life.

After making some videos at work, I decided to buy a new laptop, camera and other tools to support me creating better videos.

At this moment, I am not working in that company anymore, but I feel so blessed to ever receive that opportunity. Currnetly, I am making some short videos during babysitting my little daughter. I usually shared some views around our house on my social media. Sometimes I added some motivational quotes in them, I hope these small things can serve its purpose, that even while you are just at home far away from the crowd, you can always enjoy the beautiful things.
