If you didn’t need sleep, what would you do with all the extra time?
What a captivating question! I had this thought, couple of days ago, when I got so many ideas running on my mind. I wanted to edit my videos, create captivating captions, start a new online shop, make our household budgeting, create new sensory and motor activities for my baby, and take a good care of myself and my home. I know it’s a little too much, that’s why I secretly wished that I don’t need to sleep.
Currently, I am at phase where most of brilliant ideas come to my head after 11 pm where I supposed to be sleeping. I feel scared that the ideas will be disappeared the next day when I wake up.
However, looking back to my role as a stay at home mom and a content creator, I think I still need a good night sleep and to take a good care of my mental and physical health.
Lately, I noticed some unhealthy patterns that caused me to have mental breakdowns, dizziness, and most painful period. These unhealthy patterns always begin with a poor sleep cycle.
When I lost my sleep, I started to miss my breakfast, workout session, and my time for daily devotion. Besides, my daughter’s sleep and eat schedule got delayed and caused her to lose weight. Oh, some other side effects are emotional outburst and irritability caused by tiredness. As conclusion, my creative brain stopped functioning and I lost focus.
Oh, I guess now I know the answer, with all the extra time left, I will still choose to have a rest and good sleep. I believe this is one of the most important aspects of my well being.
